| Members of the Paratydeoidea and Raphignathoidea are important predatory mites in suborder Prostigmata. In order to identify of the superfamilies Paratydeoidea and Raphignathoidea, sampling was carried out during 2017 to 2019 in different places of the western region of Mazandaran province. Collected specimens were extracted using the Berlese-Tullgren funnel and put into AGA solution. Mites were cleared in lactic asid and Nessbit’s fluid and then microscopic slides were mounted in Hoyer’s medium. During this study, a total number of 22 species from 11 genera and 5 families were collected and identified. Among them, Raphignathus bathursti Meyer & Ryke, 1960 was a new record for mite fauna of Iran. The identified species are as bellow list: I. Paratydeoidea. Stigmocheylidae: Stigmocheylus persicus Damavandian & Paktinat-Saeij, 2018; II. Raphignathoidea. Caligonellidae: Caligonella haddadi Bagheri & Maleki, 2013; Molothrognathus azizi Ueckermann & Khanjani, 2003; M. bahariensis Ueckermann & Khanjani, 2003; Neognathus terrestris (Summers & Schlinger, 1955); Cryptognathidae: Cryptognathus lagena Kramer, 1879; Favognathus hyrcanensis Shirinbeik Mohajer & Bagheri, 2014; F. mirazii Khanjani & Ueckermann, 2008; F. orbiculatus (Livshitz, 1974); F. pongolensis Meyer & Ueckermann, 1989; Raphignathidae: Raphignathus bathursti Meyer & Ryke, 1960; R. gracilis (Rack, 1962); R. zhaoi Hu, Jing & Liang, 1995; Stigmaeidae: Eustigmaeus caspianensis Bagheri & Paktinat Saeej, 2014; E. nasrinae Khanjani & Ueckermann, 2002; E. segnis (Koch, 1836); E. rhodomela (Koch, 1841); Ledermulleriopsis zahiri Khanjani & Ueckermann, 2002; Stigmaeus elongatus Berlese, 1886; S. longipilis (Canestrini, 1889); S. pilatus Kuznetzov, 1978; Storchia robusta (Berlese, 1885). |
